Affordable housing lotteries are open at some 15 NYC buildings

Feeling lucky? Perhaps it’s a good time to apply to the affordable housing lotteries that the city and real estate developers organize when new, below-market-rate apartments become available. The city is working to create and preserve some 200,000 of these residences, but it cannot keep up with demand.

Sparks Steak House to stay open with 15-year lease, owner says

The sizzle is not out at Sparks Steak House, owner Michael Cetta said. Cetta said he signed a 15-year lease with the Durst Organization, the landlord at 210 E. 46th St., where Sparks has been serving up pricey cuts for four decades.

Legendary Steakhouse Sparks Will Not Close After All

New York legend Sparks Steak House is no longer in danger of closing. The Post reports that the historic steakhouse renewed its lease at 210 East 46 Street, a change from when the restaurant said earlier this year that it may need to seek a new, cheaper location due to a rent hike.
